Acetylene is a colourless, odourless, gas with the chemical compound C2H2. Acetylene is used in a variety of commercial and industrial applications. The most common of which is oxyacetylene gas welding and oxyacetylene gas cutting. This is due to the high temperature of the flame, burning at over six thousand degrees Fahrenheit, oxyacetylene is the hottest burning common fuel gas.
